Clearly Mike's highlight whilst at Town was his 4 goals and a missed penalty against Darlo in the 7-2 win.

Mike Lester was a good player in a good team ,

Playing at a lot higher level than the Blue Square,

So

All his time here was good compared to now.

FFS why would anyone be proud his kid was born on the Nunny?

I think today, particularly in a struggling team, Mike would've been called a "luxury player"

I was born at the Nunsthorpe Maternity Home and my parents were proud of me

My view is that if Mike enjoyed his time with Town and his son was born here and he has good memories of that, then there's no reason for him not to be proud of this

Doh!

Read Old Footballer's message again FFS - I know it's grammatically abysmal but if you read it carefully it says Lester is proud, not of his lad, but because he was born on the Nunny
