Thanks for that!

I thought people on the match thread were complaining about Ridley deflection the first goal past mcKeown? Clearly it was Garner. The defending for the 2nd one was woeful, Bad enough that the guyGUYS- amededed for you chris!! got a free header but the effort to stop the cross coming in was very sub standard. A distinct lack of urgency and understanding of the need to stop the threat at source!

tbf chris think people were commenting on ridley making the initial foul.
think it showed how well coulson played, just how bad artus was and actually showed church in a more positive light than it appeared at the time

I've just watched the highlights and listened to Hurst's interview on the beeb.

Firstly, I have to say, the Ebbsfleet highlights made it look like a pretty decent game i.e a fairly decent advert for Conference football. I wasn't at the game, so I can't comment further than that, but that was the impression it gave me.

From the highlights it seemed, yet again, Town were very much in he game until they conceded a sloppy 2nd goal which, I have to say, I put McKeown at fault for as well as the poor marking to give a EUFC player a free header inside the six yard box. Getting beat at your near post like that though is a nightmare for any keeper.

The first goal was bad luck but a sloppy free kick to give away. The player had his back to goal - just keep him there! Ridley was too tight.

The third was all McKeown's - why come for it? I'm sure he knows that so I won't dwell on it. It killed the game though.

It seemed we created chances - though Artus, then Eagle in second half, Hearn, etc. We had a lot of long range shots - we'd do better to get them on target!! It shows the creativity is there though.

RE Hurst's interview: I think his comments were aimed at stirring a reaction from the squad. I don't think he's going into the game telling the squad we'll lose. Reverse psychology. He was clearly furious and judging by the way Scott moped along the touchline to shake Daish's hand at the end, he was too. Haha.

I think, if we give these two time, the potential is there and they will turn it around. We've just got endure a bit more rough before we hit the smooooooth.

Actually, the Ebbsfleet edition offers over 22 mins of highlights and I did acknowledge the fact I wasn't at the game. My point was, despite the fact we lost to a part-time team again, it's not all doom and gloom. We create chances we just need to put a plug in the hole at the other. Give it time, when we get it right at the back it will fall into place.

Well done to the people responsible for the highlights video. Many examples of defenders being out of position, Kempson having to go over to the touchline near the corner to try and make a tackle, Church and I think Elding in the right back position, what is all that about? They did create some openings though but on this occasion finishing was poor, but could easily have had another couple of goals on another day.

I thought McKeown was partially at fault for all three, to be honest.

Despite the deflection, I thought he could have done better for the first goal. His attempt to save a weak header at the near post for the second was just ridiculous and the third was just poor play.

Though not really a fan of Arthur, I wonder if it is time to throw him back into the team? McKeown seems to have lost his confidence.

As much as it isn't nice to single one person out, I agree with that. The keeping for the second one was almost as farcical as the third. Shame really because the times I've seen him live I've thought he's looked a good keeper.

Every time Ebbsfleet got into our half,

I thought they were going to score.

SO did Scott, who never stopped shouting and moaning at the defence.

Can see why people said Coulson did well.

What stuck me was how DEEP the whole defence dropped at times.
I know it's not always easy to stop but we've got to try to push out more.
