And excellent public transport links which I imagine are essential for Bazza.

Bloody hell, he's landed on his feet there. Doesn't York have about 200 pubs or something daft like that?

He'll perhaps get sent off?

If he plays, I hope he puts as much effort in against us as he did against Bradford the other season.

That'll be the first game after Woods was appointed manager...3-0 home defeat

I didn't think too much of it at the time when he was almost invisible....I just thought that the Bradford fans got to him with their taunts

Looking back though, there was clearly something going on behind the scenes with him and Woods that led to the inevitable parting of ways

A few years ago York had 365 pubs.  A different one to visit every day.  Some have shut down but other "smart bars" have since opened up.

Fantastic player that scored goals whilst being drunk and not training properly, should have let him carry on, worked ok for Georgey Best & Paul McGrath.  Sign Him up, he's better than Elding!

His 'performances' and behavior on and off the pitch in the following season certainly played a part in our relegation though.

I blame that on Superneil's 15000 match run without winning.

If the lazy drunk up twit didn't get himself suspended for about 7 games and instead played to the best of his ability, like he did at the end of the previous season, then maybe we wouldn't have had sunk to the point where we had to sack Newell and replace him with an out of depth youth coach...

Defence of Conlon is indefensible. I'm not criticising Conlon for his time on loan for us when he played well, but for the time after he had signed permanently and looked as though he didn't give a toss. As the fans of various other clubs told us to expect, he only looked as though he was interested when playing for a contract. After he had secured his beer money, he didn't look interested.
