On radio Hull that H&S are trying to sort out a permanent move for the lad, though they say there's no hurry.

Good news imo, seems a quality player and I for one would like to see him stay.

A good signing who will stabilise that left hand full back side as well as getting up and down with good centres as in the last few matches.

Didn't he play lw for Boston whilst he was on loan there...??? Might be a good call that, pace and crossing ability on the wing... exciting...

Looks decent and am pleased he may be staying but very surprised we have the money for signing new players.

Thought it was time to start cutting our cloth accordingly?!

Here's hoping we can shift some players in Jan as Shorty and Shouty's 18 man squad seems to be a little big!

No need for a full contract yet just need to get an agreement in place. The issue is if the club is broke will Parker stump up money for a contracted salary or someone else is shipped out to free up money.

I'd deffo keep him, i'd like to see him and Eagle playing down our left hand side, pace and crossing ability.

Green looks very good, doesn't seem to panic and doesn't just kick it long into the channels....I've jinxed him now, he'll probably be shite on Saturday now...

Doubt it. He's under contract until the end of the season so I expect he will remain as back-up should Green sign.

I think Ridley is a decent enough defender but Green is a lot quicker and we badly need more pace in the team, especially in defence.

Isn't there a rule about how many teams you can be contracted to play for in a season as well?  It may be that he can't sign a contract anywhere else anyway.  (unless rolling contracts don't fall under this rule)

You can't play for two teams after a transfer window has shut. That's why Tyrone Thompson left before the window closed, so he could join another as a free agent. Green has played for us so if he did leave he wouldn't be able to play for anyone else until Jan 1.

good solid player, likes to move with the ball, with a quality cross, will come ahead of ridley and eagle in the pecking order IMO

Agreed, Ridley is good enough to play league football but he is slow. Like you say, Green will give us more pace and aside from the slip at Stockport he has impressed me. He offers more going forward where as Ridley plays it safe (not a bad thing for a defender) at the detriment of raiding down the wing and supporting the winger ahead of him. Ridley knows he isn't the quickest so doesn't commit forward too often.

All round, Green is the better player for me. And he is much younger. Ridley has missed a lot of football through injuries too.

I'd play him over Ridley. Just feel more confident with him at left back than Ridley. As for the question asked earlier, what foes eagle bring to the party, simple really, everything makofo doesn't other than running. He can cross, pass, looks up, appeared to work well with green when he swapped with coulson and he's played left back so he could drop in if green bombed on up the line.

Green would be a great investment and he seems to enjoy playing for us...

Green fits into the H&S game plan and looks the part on that flank, offering the crosses in attacking mode as well as pace to get back and cover if the team have to defend. A good age as a signing as well as part of a fit hungry squad. I hope he signs soon and goes on to be a fixture in the position - no disrspect to Ridley, just not fast enough to cope with what is required, good stand by though.
