You can't play for two teams after a transfer window has shut. That's why Tyrone Thompson left before the window closed, so he could join another as a free agent. Green has played for us so if he did leave he wouldn't be able to play for anyone else until Jan 1.

good solid player, likes to move with the ball, with a quality cross, will come ahead of ridley and eagle in the pecking order IMO

I think Ridley is a decent enough defender but Green is a lot quicker and we badly need more pace in the team, especially in defence.

Agreed, Ridley is good enough to play league football but he is slow. Like you say, Green will give us more pace and aside from the slip at Stockport he has impressed me. He offers more going forward where as Ridley plays it safe (not a bad thing for a defender) at the detriment of raiding down the wing and supporting the winger ahead of him. Ridley knows he isn't the quickest so doesn't commit forward too often.

All round, Green is the better player for me. And he is much younger. Ridley has missed a lot of football through injuries too.

I'd play him over Ridley. Just feel more confident with him at left back than Ridley. As for the question asked earlier, what foes eagle bring to the party, simple really, everything makofo doesn't other than running. He can cross, pass, looks up, appeared to work well with green when he swapped with coulson and he's played left back so he could drop in if green bombed on up the line.

Green would be a great investment and he seems to enjoy playing for us...

Green fits into the H&S game plan and looks the part on that flank, offering the crosses in attacking mode as well as pace to get back and cover if the team have to defend. A good age as a signing as well as part of a fit hungry squad. I hope he signs soon and goes on to be a fixture in the position - no disrspect to Ridley, just not fast enough to cope with what is required, good stand by though.
