Maybe Kim Gee, Verity Whatshername, the fat kid out of G4 and the dancer who went out with Ginger Spice are busy finalising a similar deal for GTFC.

Apparently there's a rival consortium made up of Mike Hallet and that woman who was in Emmerdale.

Sound like another Notts County, could be wrong though.....if only we couild get Conoco, Total and the other big buwsinesses to invest in GTFC and Grimsby as an area

This is just it, football should not be about simply finding a fcking investor.
It's just becoming the norm now and it's bullsh1t.
"Lucky club, wish it was us" Do you? Do you really support what the game is becoming? You would even be happy to encourage it! Must just be me then (though I know it's certainly not)

Think I've just about had it with footy I really am p1ssed off at this. I hope the game of football implodes on itself and has to start all over again from scratch while some other poor sport is being plundered by greedy b*stards in its absence.

I'm not sure what your point is. All successful clubs have investors, they always have had and always will. Generally the bigger the investment the more successful the club. Same as any sports team.

Not to the extent it's happening now (not anything like to this extent), most of all with the influx of foreign investors that's quickly becoming part and parcel of the modern game - individuals or groups who couldn't give two sh1ts about the game of football but either want a plaything that they can later throw away (after the rippling effect of increased ticket prices, player wages etc etc), or to turn the club and its fans into something they can milk money from for personal gain.
They're now pumping utterly ridiculous amounts of cash into one specific club making it hugely unfair for the other clubs in the league who just can't compete with this (or who are ruining themselves just trying to). It's just ruining the game imo and I feel buying a league title a la Creepy is neither something to be proud of nor to aspire to for any club.
Am I talking a load of bollox? Most probably, wouldn't be the first time. But these are just my feelings on what I see going on in the game.

Vale has a large number of grass pitches next to it - perfect for development. The guy who was trying to buy them out in the close season owns an old leisure centre next to the fields, has finger in many councillors pockets (allegedly). Always wondered what would be in it for him. Probably the same as whats in it for this other company.
They intend spending 5 million on developing the training facilitys and 3 million on  " Other Projects "
Vale have been on the verge of going under for 2 seasons now, and probably need this to stay afloat, but those pitches are in a prime location for building a hotel/gym etc. on.
