Guest User	“I’m not exactly a shouter during games, but I think that if you can lead by example on and off the pitch then that is ideal." What do we think? Personally, I love a shouter. And a screamer. But that's a different thing altogether.

Personally I like the lead by example type, and central mid is a perfect position for skipper. Interesting than he's the oldest outfield player in the squad at 29. Disley might not be a shouter, but from what i've seen he's one of the more technically gifted players we have, very calm on the ball and has bags of experience. He has my vote. I see why some people think Pearson should get it, but for me, a young lad in his first season as a pro shouldn't be a captain. Just Whittle frstrated me, 100% every game, but as a captain, not vocal enough for me.  Haven't seen Town as yet this pre-season so am in no position to judge. But I would like to think it's someone that has a bit of both of the above. The wife was going away for a girly weekend. I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football' 'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Guest User	To return to the topic, Disley seems the obvious choice for captain to me. Doesn't need to be a shouter 'cos we've got Scotty to do that. Pearson appears to be good captain material in most people's judgement, but as was pointed out earlier - it's his first season as a full-time pro. Let him use his leadership qualities to organise the defence.

That is true from a few years ago, but nowadays even at town every player has a go at the ref, surrounds them and complains at decisions.  Didnt Brian Clough used to fine any player barring his captain that spoke out of turn to an official.
