Anyways, thought that i should tell ya'll my opinion.

I don't think you will do as well as you think you will. You have lost Connell and replaced him with Anthony Elding! Elding didn't impress me when he was on loan here, so obviously you've lost a threat of goalscoring if you get what I mean.

Also, I have noticed the lack of  pace you have at the back, quick strikers will dominate you.

Your midfield is too lightweight as I am told my a gtfc mate, you need more physical players for this league so I'm told.

the only point the Gimp does have is about Connell. Whilst Hearn did well at Alfreton, that is a bit different to playing here, so we will have to wait and see what happens there.

Dont think we have to worry about the 'mighty (cough cough) imps though

Agreed. This board is incredibly tolerant of such idiots. I don't think there are any Town fans bored enough to use the Imps board, yet we have a whole host on here (a couple are ok mind) and they still manage to talk about Town fans as being obsessed with them. On here we have to put up with their useless messages, contributing nothing worthwhile yet while they can hand out minus reputation points to regulars (case in point; I now have 2 minus points, one from that idiot Scunt and now this Gimp) we all get locked out of the Imps board on the day they crashed out of the league as they shut it down to non-members in a superbly childish tantrum.
Any chance of this reputation system being upgraded, so we have the power to banish these idiots ourselves? Or even hand out a Mod status to a trusted regular who zap these fools as soon as they log in with their new account? It's the first week of the summer hols, it can only get worse....

how about a votes system were a user gets so many votes against them they get suspended for a certain amount of time...

Something needs to be done, as the board recently has been pretty good, just a few childish fools.

I actually quite agree with him, we needed Connell to get out this league in my view. I predict we'll finish 8th.

Why? Connell was a great player but that doesn't necessarily mean he will have made the team better because I get the impression he wouldn't have fitted into SandH's game plan. I think they want a high tempo, high pressing game and Connell couldn't offer that. Nor can he hold the ball up particularly well or win many headers and his goals tally was a lot less once teams realised the threat he posed and the fact that he was our only threat so got tight to him. This meant that our goal threat when he was out the game was nearly nothing. With the new team I expect them to be more physical, work very hard to stop the opposition having time on the ball which will mean we let less goals in and we will score more by winning the ball high up the pitch. We'll never know if he would have scored as many next season but his previous career tallys such it wouldn't have been likely.

He is a quality player, I'm not disputing that. But if he wasn't going to fit into our style of play and the fact we have replaced him with Hearn who can score and Elding who potentially can get 10-15 goals means we won't necessarily miss him.

1 man doesn't make a team, Connell was class but there are other players out there better than him

Remember when Mendonca left for Charlton and we lost Oster too. The next season surely shouldve been a disaster but we brought some excellant players in, rebuilt the TEAM, and Wembley winners twice      !!

Lincoln Imp you're way too forward thinking, save the pisstakes for after christmas towards to end of the season, then again you may not be willing to post due to that very same reason.

Our team is in disarray? if we are then lets have more of it.The EGM has united the club and Tilson has made some good signings but the proof is in the pudding.
Who knows what the season will bring, the majority of football fans tend to get over exited about friendlies and there is always loads of pre season hype.

It's not my club im worried about, it's yours. I can only count your new signings on 1 hand. You have a very limited budget for this league, even barrow have more. We have signed players that fit the structure our managers are trying to fit together, just because Elding did bad for you doesn't mean he will for us, Connell is a perfect example of that, he hardly scored for other teams with different tactics. Oh btw it's better to be optimistic then pessimistic.

Jamie Taylor ,Alan Power, Sam Smith,Francis Laurent,Kyle Perry ,John Nutter ,Tony Sinclair Josh Gowling, Simon Russell &  Nicky Nicolau.

Nothing particularly wrong with the kid's original post, a lot better than most that preceded it.

As for Lincoln, not bad signings, bit like ours last year; they have mid-table written all over them.

And you think we didn't say the same last season? Arguably Watt, Cummins, Samuels and the rest seem to have been a lot better list than you can boast, and we still only had mid table football to watch.

Can't wait for the Gimps to eat there words at the end of the season, they'll all be gone by the end of September when they realise that Hayes and Yeading are no pushovers and will raise there game against your 'massive club', FACT!
