The problem at the moment is that Tour Operators are buying less holidays due ot the recession so the number of 'deals' are less as they seem to be buying in the amount they are can guarantee to sell.

Unless of course you can leave at the drop of a hat.

Like Macca says, sorting it out like that is great if you know exactly where you want to go. I feel daunted at the thought of getting at the airport to having it all fall through with the girlfriend sat on her suitcase in tears.

I'm lucky in that I can get good deals through Thomson and stoop up the cash when i want a guaranteed break. I always book platinum to keep the kids away or at least the chavvy ones.

In the future though, I will be going the 'macca way' as we are starting to want a little more than a nice pool. I am anyway.

just booked, a holiday to the Domincan next September as im best man at my friends wedding, for me and the Mrs for a week it cost £1509 all inclusive

Hehe, you want to try pulling your bags around Moscow in the winter with all hotels full at 3am with your missus having kittens! Fortunately, Louthinthesouth let us kip in his room. The lad is a star.
