I've only ever booked 1 holiday before and that was last year, a lads holiday. This time i want to book a holiday for next year (August) for me and the missus. I've seen the perfect place/time/date and it costs around £600. What i wondered is do you think I will find better deals or worse come January? Obviously this exact 1 may be snapped up by then but if not will the price go up or down?

thanks lukeo

depends where you going and is it bb/sc  etc  ive been all over the med and prefer the greek islands myself. further afield hong kong is good as is thailand i personally thought oz was not all it was cracked up to be.booking earlier i think will be a good thing this year due to tour operaters not buying so many beds due to the downturn

Don't book a package holiday; a sterile, conveyor belt, chavvy nightmare.

You'll be able to fly to Turkey on Easyjet from Gatwick for £50. You'll be able to rent a nice apartment by the sea for £100 a week. It'll cost you £20 for a taxi from the airport to the resort.

Laying on the beach is free, beer and food are cheap and in the evening you can have brown with the missus (also free).

You don't need to spend £600 a-piece.

I've just booked a package of 11 nights B&B for 2 of us to Hisaronu, Turkey in May next year for £500.... Not Marmaris or anywhere Chavvy. Our apartments look great and are a short walk away from the busy parts. Perfect for us!

You don't need to spend £600 a piece to get a good deal. You need to look around. There's loads of good deals in most agents at the moment for next year.
Lukeo, if you can't find one, I can provide a number of a VERY good travel agent who will hunt for exactly what you want and will beat most places prices.

Or you could always run coaches to away games.

Then have an "end of season cruise".

I've heard it's the done thing

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'
