I've just watched this on 4oD and interestingly, it did work on me.

Very strange indeed.

He was referring to watching it on YouTube where the video bit-rate is heavily reduced and the subliminal images would never be clear enough to have an impact.

Watching a high definition video stream would give a much better resolution than those people watch

Remember, anyone watching a PAL video on a CRT TV isn't getting that good a resolution.
