Any one still think 42 43 or 44 points will be enough? I said ages ago we’d need 46/47

We should get 46 but if the other teams continue their form it might not be enough - we are consistent draw specialists who can't win - it's going down to the last 2 games now though in all probability , maybe even that last game at Crawley - our nightmare scenario.

I don’t see us getting anything like 46/47 now. 42/43 if we’re lucky

You would say win both home games and an away draw but we haven’t got the quality to win 2 games in a row.

I could see us getting 46 at a push, but I'm not sure that would be enough given how the teams below us are now doing!

Still in our hands, the other 3 face MK Dons, Wrexham and Stockport on Saturday. Trying to be optimistic, what else can we do?

Our opponents at the weekend have been smashed 4-0 today and are clearly on the beach. Everyone else has 'difficult' fixtures. That's the only positive I'm clinging to. It's becoming obvious that we need to win our two remaining home games and draw a couple of the others.

We haven’t done that all season so what makes you think we will now?

I was there, the day Bradley Wood scored a 35 yarder!

From the black and white striped shirts
To the fish in the sea
You'll hear us singing
Coz we are Grimsby.

You won't hear us crying
But you'll hear us shout
Coz we are the Grimsby
And this is our chant.......... Grimsby! Grimsby! Grimsby!

Newport turned over by Crawley 0-4 today.
Town have got to believe they can beat them next Saturday. and then do it.

Luckily, we've only got the second worst away record in the division...

We are going to have to keep grinding that's for sure ,any reverting to Artell ball again will see the club go . We have to hope a win and 3 or 4 draws will be enough as that's the best we will get most likely .

Though I think he’s a bit lazy I’d have Wilson up front with Rose as he has a goal in him. Then I’d put Chas in centrally in behind them, Thompson and Andrews in MF then 3 CBs and Glennon & Clifton (if fit) and obviously now Eastwood.
