Mind you, I’m certain Lindsey is in Cleethorpes, not that not matters.

So is Blundell Park.

Also a former Lindsey pupil. Played against Chris Hargreaves there back in the day to reinforce my GTFC-ness!

Forgot all about it until one day I bumped into Hirsty, only he was now a she. I try to be as accommodating and respectful as possible of this evolving, modern world we are living in but, blimey, it didn’t half catch me off guard. Trying to work out where you recognise someone from and then you’re like, fúcking hell, THAT’S who it is.

That’s exactly how I felt when I found out Tony Gallimore’s son was right footed.

One of my fondest gtfc memories is standing in wybers Co op considering my beer options and gally steaming straight in and getting 4 special brew with no hesitation. I was proud of his professional decision making. It made me realise the difference between a pleb like me and a seasoned drinker . I’ve been trying to recreate that moment ever since

I've heard stories of people driving home after a game and stopping for a pint in the Grosvenor, only to find Gallimore already at the end of the bar, even though he'd played that day!

Born in Hull, lived in Cottingham until I was about 6. Dad took me to watch the Tigers at Boothferry Park, Waggy, Simpkin and all.

Moved over to Cleethorpes and never looked back, great place to live.

Started following Town in the late 70's, what a team, say no more.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I’m the same age as Chris and played with him for several years for various teams, assisting many of his bagful of goals, and also against him as he was at Lindsey and I was at Wintringham.
