That's been about a bit in more recent times. Think it was doing the rounds when we went down to the Conference the first time, but I don't remember the first two lines being sang. Just from "Take my hand..." and then it had "We're Grimsby" clap clap clap "We're Grimsby" on the end.

Funny but I can't recall us singing it that early

Definitely late 70s.... the three games against Sheffield United in 79-80 season in particular ( maybe because their fans sing it too? )

Fond memories of the original resonating in the away end at Brentford just before time in front of Dave Beasant who was giving a masterclass in sadly a defeat.  Was never sure why it was dropped
