Any tiny advantage for us would be welcome.

SussexLive:

"Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi is set for another touchline ban after being booked during his side's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

The Italian was in the stands for the Albion's 4-0 win over West Ham earlier this month after being sent off against Fulham in February and after complaining about Moises Caicedo being given a yellow card, referee Peter Bankes booked the 43-year-old.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk boss, who has now been cautioned four times this season, believed the yellow card was unjust and it remains to be seen if the Seagulls head coach's one-match ban will apply to Sunday's FA Cup clash against Grimsby Town or their next Premier League game at home to Brentford on April 1."

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Make him sit with the town fans, and give him a Harry Haddock to wave at the ref in protest

Player bans take effect in the next domestic game, hence Nick Pope missed the Carabao Cup final recently after being sent off in a PL game (and going back, didn’t Jack Lester miss the Auto Windscreens final after a booking received in the league against Wycombe?).

I don’t see why touchline bans would work any different.

Didn't seem to provide west ham with any advantage when he was in the stands against them!

Anomaly. This article by the BBC concluded points returns were 20% below expected levels when managers were serving a touchline ban (which has to be more statistically significant than the piece infers.

To support that statistic, I can confirm that Brighton will be getting no points on Sunday.

De Zerbi might feel safer in the stands than in the dressing room.

The last time someone from Brescia was near a Grimsby Town changing room they left with a fractured cheekbone, busted eye and half a plate of chicken sticking out of their viso.

Question  for you.
Has Paul Hurst ever been on the "Naughty Step"
served a touchline ban in his time as "Town Boss" ?

Rob Scott springs to mind.
