They all have had their moments. Some have been overwhelming victories, others heroic defensive performances. Southampton had the added spice of top fight competition and the VAR drama.

Without doing the maths, I think the Southampton match makes my all time top 10 Town games (or at least gets very close to it).

The others were all great in their own way, the first half of the Luton replay especially, but not quite that good.

Question is, is the best game of this cup run still to come?

Don't forget Luton away. We went 2-1 down and looked beaten and we scored from the kick-off with that Orsi flick.

Luton H. Home and hosed at half time, no sweat. Close second was the Plymouth match. I took my niece to BP for the first time and explained to her on the way there that we’d more than likely lose and eventually the big clubs fight it out for a place at Wembley at the end of the competition….

The last forty mins on Weds I found quite stressful but the scenes at full time were incredible.

The Plymouth game was a good game, they were flying in league one (my Lincoln mates said we’d get battered by them)  so it was nice to get one over them lot 😎

Probably not, Paul Mullin has 8 goals in the FA Cup alone as the top scorer.

To some extent, I don’t think any of our games in the cup have been boring or forgettable, May be the Burton game was a bit drab but both Luton games were great, as was Plymouth at home.

Then you factor in Southampton and it actually looks like an enjoyable run.

Let’s not forget the history making game coming up too. Win, lose or draw, we’re in the quarter final of the FA cup, which, for a club like Town is unthinkable really. Then, when I think about it some more, I believe it’s winnable. A sensible Brighton fan will know that too. I think it’s similar for Brighton as it was Luton and Southampton, they can’t really win. If they actually win people go, ‘well they should beat a mid table league 2 side’ and if they lose people say ‘bloody rubbish, they’re only a league 2 side’.

What I know, and we know is, we won’t just be going for a day out. We’ve got nothing to lose and buckets of self belief. Some heroic defending from Waterfall, a worldy from Mcatee, some never say die work rate from Clifton and who knows? Another flipping moron centre half giving away a daft penalty…

It’s doable and winnable and you flipping betcha we’ve all had a look at the semi final dates and the seating plan for Wembley. Dare to flipping dream. Drink it in. What a flipping time to be a town fan.

Can’t wait to get dicked 3-0 at Carlisle today…

And yet they’re out of the cup, still moaning because Billy Sharp told the truth…

Luton at home was the most enjoyable for me, it was great to be in the ground and so relaxed during the second half against a very good Championship side. I felt like a teenager again, watching us mix it with Division 1 teams.

If I was in the stand at Southampton, would I have answered differently? Possibly.

I enjoyed Plymouth as we were all over the place at the start then clearly started to believe we could get something from the game and that belief has continued all the way to the 6th round.

Wednesday stands alone for me, though you can’t claim we worked their keeper the game had loads of drama which in itself made it entertaining, most of all though what makes this one stand out is our fantastic support, absolutely off the scale!

Despite supporters of certain clubs having a massive sense of entitlement you can’t expect anything in football and sometimes don’t get what you deserve but if there is any divine justice our supporters deserve a Wembley occasion.

For me the Luton 2-2 game , But the Southampton game blew it out the water with all the "Harry" hype, press coverage which created a stir at my work, and being on telly could not beat being there.
As for the others I listened to "Mariners TV - Radio Humberside"
And the dream is still on

All matches better than losing to Kidderminster.

Just shows the rapid progress we have made.  Each cup win leads to another bigger opportunity for another upset - and more money.  Therefore, very hard to separate them.

The bedrock for these performances was mirrored in the heroic playoff matches - also against the odds and higher - placed opponents. Such belief, fighting spirit and character carried forward.

The base for the playoff wins was probably the 4-1 win at Chesterfield, when they were third.  This for us in the playoffs - at their expense.

(Chesterfield the last Div 2 team to get to the quarter-finals in 1979-90.  They got to the semifinals and were cheated out of the final when a late goal was over the line but not given).

Wasn't at Southampton, so the Luton home game for me. Was gob smacked at half time, especially when Amos was lining up to take that free kick and I thought to myself, don't have a go from there, throw it into the box and hope we get a head on it.

I'd gone down to the portaloos at the end of the Lower at the time and was in the queue for a p1ss when we got the free kick. All the half time smokers and the people in the queue went over to the fence and I was right behind Amos when he hit it. We could see the whites of the Luton fan's eyes from there and all the heads that went down.

It was a mini bedlam situation and I almost p1ssed myself.
