Love the thin veiled digs at the previous regime.

Hard to argue with anything in that really, I wonder if the work with no doubt disaffected and disengaged kids is a key part of Hursts ability to get a tune out of players others have often failed to do?

Excellent. I wonder if the National attention we are now getting, all of it highly complementary to the club and the fans will change the perception of the club in the minds of players whom we try and sign in the summer?

I wonder how many of the almost two dozen players Hurst allegedly approached in January without success might not be as quick to dismiss the chance of joining us next time the opportunity arises?

It may well be that cash is not the only benefit of this cup run.

The compound effect of both the income and publicity can’t hurt, can it. I see the club have published that 312,000 people watched the Southampton game - if that wasn’t some kind of club record, it can’t be far off. And genuinely, having watched the game back, the performance of both players and fans was absolutely astonishing and can only improve the image of the club.

Have we ever played live on BBC One? I certainly can’t remember it if we have. Viewing figures will almost certainly be in the millions for the Brighton game. Millions of people will see for themselves that the shackles have gone; this is New Grimsby.

If you are a player and you saw that you’d be wanting a part of it. We had something a PL Club can never ever have in terms of togetherness. Magical stuff.
