I always laughed with mates when we asked, would you rather see your team get promoted or win the FA cup. What a run. To think 90 minutes away from a trip to Wembley in a semi final of the FA cup. Beggers belief. I don't care what happens in the next round, these players, owners, manager and the club are making records.

I once took part in a phone survey.  OK i was bored, and it was pre internet days.   The bloke asked me if your football team were in the FA cup final on the same day your wife's waters were breaking what you go to the game or the birth of your child?  He laughed one of those evil laughs as he said it. That's a killer question.  Maybe not so much if you follow a big club but as a Town fan.

Has a 4th tier team EVER made the FA Cup semi-finals?

I know Chesterfield did once but I think they were 3rd tier then.

No is the answer we are the fifth to make the quarter finals  and prior to us all lost the last being Cambridge in the Dion Dublin days

Lincoln made the Quarters in 2017 as a National League side too. Luke Waterfall played in that.
