Shame! I was hoping he’d cling on a little longer. Can we take advantage or will ‘new manger bounce’ come in to play?

Don’t worry, the new manager will have one objective and it won’t be staying in the FA Cup.

True but he will probably use the game to get his first team to practise playing his way

If we’re looking for a positive in this, it might put another few thousand on the gate - potentially another £30k or so in our pocket.

Plenty of ways it could go, could have an interim for a few games and they do a terrible job of it

New manager will hopefully want to see all of his squad play at some point so may look to swap the whole 11 for our game to give them chance.

I believe there may be a silver lining in this. The new manager will likely have a huge bonus in line if they are able to stay in the premier league, and I imagine their focus will solely be on staying up.

Or am I just being optimistic?

It’s a job that’s got mediocre foreign manger all over it. Probably one who’s had a brief, forgettable spell in charge of Wolves, Watford or Spurs.

Jesse Marcsh appears to be a big favourite listening to the radio today. Lets just hope it’s someone who doesn’t understand the importance of the cup and wants to protect Ward-Prowse.

I hope Holloway isn’t chosen as one of the pundits on ITV4’s coverage. Must be a possibility, South West based, high profile with Town connections.

I very much doubt Ian Holloway will want to be anywhere near 5,000 half-cut Town fans.

He's got thick skin and is brass necked. Put some noughts behind a figure and he'll turn up, out of spite if nothing else.

Can you imagine the abuse he would get if he was spotted in the TV studio? Half of us would miss what was happening on the pitch. ITV would have to turn down the effects mics at our end.

The Grim Reaper is now working pre-emptively, getting opposition managers the sack before we've even played them.
