Partick Thistle got a pen against Rangers.  Sure the ball hit the defenders hand, but he was falling through mid air after he missed a header.  VAR check - pen.

Lots of grey areas with VAR. Could you imagine a VAR official siding with a L2 team over a Prem team if it meant the Prem team going out the FA Cup?

Given our only exposure to it so far was the dismissal of Fox at Palace then I am naturally pessimistic about "experiencing" it again in this next round.

I hope the coaching staff / players do put some work/thought into playing under VAR conditions...some of the sneaky stuff they can get past an incompetent official at League level could easily be picked up by the VAR and prove costly.

Last night Amos handballed at the Pontoon end which under VAR would easily have been flagged up for instance.

I don't know why the away team had to pay 10 grand for VAR, but it was well worth it.  UTMM!!
