Have just let the dog out in the garden and it's crispy under foot already.

Not a chance of the game being on because of the large area in the shadow of the Findus. It'd need to be  double figure temperatures in the morning to have a chance.

If it were frozen now I’d imagine they’d have called it off today - like Tranmere/Donny. Would tend to believe that means it isn’t currently frozen..

Bit of a pain in the knackers as I'm coming from down south. Ah well, never mind.

2C at 9am and not sub zero overnight and 4C by lunchtime with sun, but I’d still reckon it must be 50/50.
If it’s frozen now (don’t know if it is) I reckon it’s unlikely.

Depends when the covers went on. The forecast earlier in the week had it warmer by now but the ground was rock solid Wednesday and Thursday but had thawed a bit today.

The post from the club says ‘having consulted with the match officials’, you’d imagine we’ve suggested to them that it’s currently frozen.

It’s rare to call a pitch inspection so early and it still be on

I've been out in the garden tonight and it's nowhere near as cold as what it has been, just a slight frost - equally so no idea what the pitch is like so will wait until 11.30 before setting off 🙄

The ground is rock hard in Thorne and we miss the worst of the cold weather. Been up to 5c and felt warm in the sun today but it hasn't made the ground feel softer.

Donny Rovers has been called off due to part of the pitch near the South Stand.

Gainsborough Trinity is on tomorrow but I suspect I'll be watching an NCEL game on 3G tomorrow.

If it were frozen, I’d have imagined they’d have had a local ref go down and look at it - like Donny and lots of other examples over the years.
