Reasonable enough first half. They pinned us back for the first 15 without creating much, other than a mishit cross which Crocombe needed to tip over. After that, much more even. They are susceptible to the ball over the top, but we've not quite got it right yet.

They are a big team so I don't think we'll see too many midfield changes as we need the height in there, especially without Waterfall available. All might change if we went behind, of course.

I think thats one of the most boring halves of football I've seen for a while.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best

Burton playing the better but not done a lot with their possession. Hopefully a better second half.

Me and my Dad have just said the same. We have removed a layer of clay from under the pitched, added better drainage and somehow the pitch has got worse.

Firstly I'm no grass expert but common sense tells me if you rip up established grass including it's root structure and replace it with new grass and expect it to stand up to football matches and training then good luck . It took our school field over a year to be able to use it and even then it was pretty crap

Bit of a slow affair so far with some half chances on both sides. Burton look like they'd be more at home in the NFL than the EFL with some tall and wide players who look a bit rough out there. Can see how they are struggling in L1 though with plenty of physicality but nobody particularly brilliant who can get hold of the ball and make something happen. They probably get ripped apart by good footballing sides. Our pitch being the state it is probably plays into their hands though as it becomes more scrappy and players are easier to push around.

Think this is very much a winnable game if we go for it as Burton don't have that much going for them and are playing for a set piece. If we can defend those well and press them we'll win.

Really poor watch the 25 minutes I've seen. They're poor but pressing hard and we're giving the ball away constantly.

Lets face it, Burton Albion are pathetic, yet they are still better than us !

What do these guys do all week ? Beyond the half-way line we are totally clueless. Signing a striker of the highest quality would not solve this teams problems, no creativity, hoof-ball at every opportunity and gifting possession back to the opposition. A massive improvement is needed in the second half, time for Hurst to earn his salary.

In a nutshell, awful !
