Jamie Pardington has left the club by mutual consent, Battersby has been recalled from Ilkeston and the goalkeeping situation will be assessed as January goes on.

Does anybody know how Battersby did whilst at Ilkeston?

Well, time to add Pardington to the list of completely anonymous Town goalkeepers along with Morten Hydgaard, Jason Batty, Ronald Ermes, John Lukic jr and Leigh Overton.

Well seeing as we don't have a keeper on the bench and Pearson is out on loan then who deputises for Crocombe if he gets injured or sent off in a game?

Yes but who is that?
Seeing as Pardington wasn't on the bench for the last few games then why would Battersby be? Obviously Battersby has been recalled in case Crocombe gets injured or ill but we still seem to play games without a recognised keeper on the bench.

Don't forget 45 year old John Burridge and Ademole Bankhole in the no appearance goalkeeper club.

Nick Colgan joined in 94 on loan and made no appearances...it should have stayed that way.

I expected a lot more from Morgan Cranley considering a lot of teams was interesting in him if I remember. I thought he would make the grade.

Really odd loan anyways, Crocombe established as no.1 so not really going to get shifted given Hursts patience with keepers, Hurst doesn't name a sub keeper anyway and we have no reserve or regular friendlies to keep a reserve active so pretty pointless all round.

Not sure he even made the bench did he? Remember him being 2001/02 season behind Coyne, Croudson and Ermes?
