Back to basics makes complete sense after the shambles last week. Try to keep a clean sheet as first priority. Fear for us if they do score first but much better so far.

HT 0-0 and nothing between the teams. It makes you wonder how a team can play so badly on Thursday and put on a first half performance like this. Khan looking good, Harry has his energy back and Smith seems back to his old self.

Going by Holohan's performance on thursday, surely Hunt should be starting.

Gav is having a good game like the rest of em today.
This formation is working well, just need that extra bit more quality in the last third.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Amos has to score, has an age to pick his spot and heads it at the keeper at a perfect height. Atmosphere non-existant. The Pomtoon is officially dead

Also, get the PA system updated immediately. What should have been a poignant moment remembering our fallen Mariners was a non-event because no one could hear the announcement

Nicely passed the ball to them to have an attack, fortunately the ball they played was poor. He does it every week, it's a real shame because he looks so good 99% of the time.

I think that first half proves that this team, this squad has what it takes. Stockport are also playing well, albeit they think they are playing rugby half the time. I am not having a go at Hurst when I say this, because essentially I am in his camp, but the frame of mind, the team spirit as they walk onto BP, well, Hurst and his team are responsibile for that. This game proves for me (like the Tranmere game) that this squad does have what it takes

Get in 1-0 Khan

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”
