Maybe the new striker comes from Instanbull, could be a Turkish delight, or he might only be able to play in night games, an After Eight specialist.

Not expecting anything special coming in as the club wont break the wage structure to push on.. So all we will get is more of the same standard player . Unless things change and the not so new owners and hurst alter things it will be cheap at the end of the window left overs again.

49 players signed in the two years since PH returned. Currently I would suggest there are 5 outfield players who are or if fit would be automatic picks for PH Waterfall Clifton Scannell Mcatee Taylor Three of the five were here before PH arrived. Draw your own conclusions

So what conclusions would we draw? Mine would be far too many players are well down the list of those he actually wants, and it's likely down to money, not being prepared to pay the going rate in either fees and/or wages. There is also the possibility that he never knows really what he does want, and him and his coaching staff cannot get signings to do what they want longer term. Last year the team was firing early on, then went to pieces and we had a different team that won promotion - fabulous but also confusing really. I don't think anybody knows the answer apart from we need quality signings which is obvious.

PH said in one of his pre match interviews recently that he was hard to please and the new recruitment guy would find that out when he presented his player list.
He also said that him and Doigy don't like many players, not on a personal level but as the right fit for their teams and that is why they have had the success they have had. Not sure what success he was referring to, so make up your own minds.

How can he keep saying that with a straight face? All this business about background checks, the right fit, type of character, style of play when he gets through more players than I get through socks. It doesn't make sense. May as well admit the truth and accept all players are a gamble and eventually I get a team that gels. He is certainly overstating the success bit; he will always have our affection for the play off successes but it needs more than that.

We were promoted so I presume that is what he means by successful.
