Four away league defeats on the bounce all against poor or average opposition . It’s only the two FA cup wins that have stopped this looking like a mid season meltdown.
That and the fact we won the game before this! Maybe those slagging Taylor off away at Hartlepool have realised his value to the team since he’s been injured.

It would have been easier to say McAtee isn't being played in the right position, and he's not.
It’s a very sad reflection on our summer transfer window that we only have two of our own strikers on the books. One is knackered (Taylor) and the other (Orsi) clearly isn’t seen as good enough to start by the manager who signed him.

To lose that after being 2-1 up against a limited side is not good enough,.as much as I never expected us to be at the business end of the table this season. We've been largely crap since Stockport on October 15th, Plymouth anomaly aside and can't keep a clean sheet. I'd be minded to go 5 at the back and never play McAtee up top on his own ever again.

11 points from the last 30 available in the league, 3 wins, 2 draws, 5 defeats. Level GD (amazingly) that for all season long would give you 50 points, just. Not sure what constitutes a meltdown as we took 16 points from the first 11 games wasn't promotion form but it was decent considering we'd just come up.

I was just a steelworker for 40 years but even I know McAtee is not a loan front man.

Does anybody have the gate and away gate numbers?
I now have the Gate 2744 but struggling to get a figure for our magnificent travelling fans. I don't recall hearing it from JT, it's not on GT twitter ( nor is a thank you for the travelling fans) and it's not mentioned in the GT summary. So if somebody could post it, with the source, I would greatly appreciate it to complete the prediction table. Many thanks DB

Going to get slaughtered for saying this but i believe Hurst has taken us as far as he can, so we either accept being a mediocre side i league 2 just going through the motions or we change things starting with Hurst, I like PH but he just doesn't have a plan "B" and we are just getting too predictable and very easy to beat, shocking defeat today

Inclined to agree, but I still think the lack of a bogle-podge combination is all we are missing. Those 2 scoring goals has us on the verge of the play offs in Hursts last reign and we played pretty much the same style as we are now. Now, maybe that glossed over his inadequacy to change games mid flow which is what we are witnessing now. I believe we have 3/4 of a play off squad and with 3-4 solid additions we'd be up there, but I'm just not sure PH would take us any further. What will be interesting is if we are floundering just above the relegation slots with 7- 8 games to go is what reaction we'll get out of the board...
