I wonder how many will be able to make the re-arranged fixture!

-4c low on Friday night in Mansfield and a high of 1c on Saturday. Need a thick blanket over the pitch.

Mansfield guy on the podcast said that the groundsman will have had the covers on all week and takes great pride in keeping games on. It's -2 on Friday and covers tend to protect to -2 or -3 so we might get a game on.

Takes pride unless it means calling a game off so they can play Liverpool only a few days later…

Spoke to our ticket office today and the girl I spoke to said that they were pretty confident fixture would go ahead because of pitch protection Mansfield has.

If it does go ahead any tips on where to park so there’s chance of a beer with town fans and still time to collect ticket from their ticket office?

A bit surprised to see that we haven't sold out our away allocation for this yet. Games at this time of year do suffer a bit crowd wise and that's without the illnesses sweeping around at the moment as well though

Circa 1,750. I expect 1,500 there.

Mansfield ST holder friend of mine has recommended St Marks Church car park which is right near the ground. I can’t comment on what pubs are nearby but that’s where I am booked in. It’s £2.50 plus 50p booking fee.

No trains from London so that'll knock a fair few of the exiles off. Not sure if the Yorkshire/Manc based Mariners are in the same boat. No trains from GY/Cleethorpes last time I checked too. No trains to Nottingham either, which would have at least offered a bus route to Mansfield.

Depending how early people get there, ya can park near the ground on the industrial estate near the river or somewhere in the housing estate across the river.

Boozers are always a bit odd in Mansfield but you can find them…

Plenty of free parking in residential areas either side of Nottingham Rd. before and after Sainsburys. Talbot pub is close enough and has BT Sport though I suspect it could be a Home pub.

If I get there early as planned I might try the Railway Inn, ( just down from TK MAX,) which has good reviews. Won't be wearing any Town gear though.

£1 per hour, but free after 3 p.m. at Water Meadows Leisure Centre. Normal pay and display.

https://www.mansfield.gov.uk/directory-record/26/water-meadows-leisure-centre-car-park

Edit.    Parkopedia shows a scruffy patch of ground on Brunt street which only charges £1 for 4 hours!

Parking not a big issue for this game.

Will have dipped well below -3 last night, it was -6 at 6:30 on the Lincs/Notts border this morning so dread to think how low it got earlier in the morning.  Ground is absolutely rock solid and with it not getting above 0 for any sustained period until Saturday lunchtime, if the frost did beat the covers then it's got no chance.

Thats where I went last time, cracking little pub and had no issues with folk wearing our clubs colours tbh.
