10 games since a clean sheet and even that was in a 0-0 draw. If there was a priority, should we be improving the defence rather than the attack?

3rd to 7th in the league have all conceded more but have between 6 to14 goals more than us. If we had a striker on the scoring charts, as I suspect most of them will have, then things would be so much better for us. Had we the services of Taylor and McAtee playing together all season, I think we would be in a higher position.

We are not that far off being a play-off placed team, but for a few more goals.

There are a few teams in our position, and they will all be trying to fix that conundrum in January. Let's hope we are one who solves it.

Saturday's opponents Tranmere are very similar, and like us haven't won for a while.
