Unfortunately, he's going to be out for about 3 months - high grade hamstring injury

A real shame for him as he was enjoying a very good injury-free spell. It also means there will be no partnership with Taylor for McAtee when he returns.

A big chance for the other forward options now though. I believe Orsi should be nearing a return from injury, hopefully he gets more opportunities.

Always a possibility this would happen; Taylor’s 34 and it was always a big ask for him to be playing 70+ minutes most weeks.

Evidently we tried, but failed, to find a like-for-like alternative in the summer; it was always the standout disappointment of the window.

Let’s look at the positives though. We just tonked the League One leaders in our best performance of the season playing an entirely different way. We’ve burned our ships now - we’ll just have to make it work moving forward, until January at the very least.

I think if we hadn’t had the Plymouth performance without him we would all be on here in a suicidal state and berating PH for not signing a duplicate for this eventuality. One game has changed everything for me (two if you include Crewe) .we don’t need a back to goal hold up player functioning 30- 40 yards from goal slowing everything down if we set up like we did last Saturday.. We do have a problem fitting Mcatee into that style of play though. Transfer window will be interesting.

Ah, crap. Very bad news.

Let's hope Orsi and Pepple return from injury very soon indeed and can start having an impact. Kiernan better stay fit as well! Don't want too much pressure on McAtee's shoulder(s) when he returns in a week or two.

That could be the last we see of him as a regular starter as I expect the trajectory of the club means Taylor will be put out to stud at the end of the season.

Unfortunate but may do us a favour, change our style of play like when Monkhouse was injured.

I don’t think we’ll see anymore of Bim, I believe he’s being sent back. I was told the same with Keke but not sure if that’s changed.
