Great to see the youth teams match last night in the FA Youth cup on twitter, with regular updates and post match interview with Neil Woods on Mariners TV.
Long may it continue....

P.S.  Great win lads over Walsall.

One of the best games I have watched at BP this season. Some very talented young lads playing football the right way with no time wasting or arguing with the ref. My man of the match was towns goalkeeper with half a dozen cracking saves.

Really enjoyable game, some exciting talent in the ranks.

Harry Milner cutting in off the right wing stood out for me but 'keeper definitely deserves a shout at for some very smart saves.

The first 2 were brilliant goals as was the 4th, with a pen for the 3rd. It looked like a good game and our keeper looked the part. It's nice to see Woods youth progressing to the next round.

A repeat for the first team on Saturday, please.

Well done to the youths. Also glad Neil Woods is still here at Grimsby working in some capacity at the club . A genuinely nice person I feel  and I wish him all the best .

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I watched Barnsley v Scunny in the FA Youth Cup tonight. I got talking to a scout there and had a long chat with them. He really rated Town's youth operation and was very knowledgeable about our young players. Great to hear.

Barnsley won 2 1 by the way.
