Won’t be anything to do with the grub in Spoons; it’ll be the excrement performance they watched!

Eat in spoons and you know what you're getting with no apologies. It's ok food cooked off site and heated but charged at bottom end prices.
Eat at many of the plastic chain restaurants and you're getting the same stuff at restaurant prices.
The only difference between spoons and the plastic chains is about £20 a head. If you want proper food go to an independent.

‘spoons has its time and its place. If I get suckered into a day shopping at Meadowhell or the Traffic Centre with the wife and kids, I’d sooner have a quick ‘spoons over a Maccies or similar fayre, if only to wash down the underwhelming food with 3 pints of Leffe to help dull the pain of the afternoon.

You can’t really complain when your plate arrives with four overcooked chips on it and a panini that’s drier than Vanessa Feltz’s vulva when you’ve just fed a family of four for £8.99 and had a pint for your troubles.

And well, if they happen to serve up an extra serving of listeria on the side, keep it quiet or everyone will want one. They say it’s important to get something from your away games…

People may slag off spoons’ for what they do, but, it’s honest about what it is. It’s no frills food. It’s the equivalent of the £1 shop for dinner. But, you aren’t expecting to be eating wagyu steak or prime rib. In fact, their best seller is a portion of peas!

They won’t ever get a Michelin star, let alone a Norris the rubberman gong.
