I reckon that was a really good first time finish from Hunt, good technique and confidence.

The vision from Glennon to pick him out was even better. Watching the main highlights and Hunt isn’t even in the frame until the last moment.

Surely Glennon was aiming for Taylor (or even Pepple)?

That’s one of the reasons Taylor was a bit pîssed off (not just that he’s missed out on a tap in). Taylor was the sensible option. Glennon tried to take that option and mishit it. Luckily Hunt was steaming forward to mop it up.

I clocked that and I liked it TBH, I’m a big fan of Taylor, great competitor.

I think it's a poor reaction from Taylor - it's a team game and he shouldn't be going off in a huff and ignoring the celebrations because a teammate put the game to bed instead of him.

In this video here, at 14:40 you get a different perspective. From this angle you can see Hunt is absolutely the right player to be playing the ball to and letting rip. He’s the one with the momentum; and of the ball makes it all the way through to Taylor there’s a chance the ‘keeper can close down the angle.

Intelligent from Glennon and clinical from Hunt. Taylor, to be fair, does eventually make a half ársed effort to join the celebrations.

I don't know why people are reading anything into Taylor not joining in with celebrations, if you watch any goal scored this season and last season, he very rarely goes over to celebrate with the goal scorer, he's more likely to calmly jog over or walk over, little pat on  back and that's it, almost exactly what he did yesterday.

It's just how Taylor is

Exactly, even when he s ores the goal against Wrexham, it was just a wry smile.

It just looks to me that he's knackered after putting in another monster shift.

Being competitive is fine but an experienced player sulking instead of celebrating because another player got in and made the shot seems a bit pathetic.

Did he actually sulk though?

Bloody hell Taylor did not sulk ffs, he’s always calm after a goal and doesn’t join in that much, he was like that all last season. Leave things be, everyone’s happy in our team whoever scores, it’s plain to see. UTM

There’s no way Glennon can see Hunt’s run there.

For a start, when Glennon looks up just before crossing it, his view of Hunt is obscured by Pepple, Horsfall and the referee.

If Hunt isn’t there, Taylor would still get to the pass first but it would have made Taylor’s job a lot harder because the defender should have been cut out of it completely. That’s why Taylor is a bit annoyed.

At the end of the day, it didn’t matter because we scored but some on here seem to think Taylor’s turned into some sort of Richard Brodie regen.

Harsh…Brodie would never have been anywhere getting the ball, and if he did it would’ve ballooned over the bar…

The ball from Glennon was slightly behind Taylors run, he had checked his run and was opening his body shape up to walk on to the ball with his left foot...Hunt beat him to it and finished it well.
At any level of football if you feel you have had one taken off your toe you will be disappointed, Taylor will have already pictured exactly what he was doing and where the ball was going so initial reaction will be disappointed.
