Genuine question; when was the last time the national anthem was played at Blundell Park for a Town game?

Can’t think I’ve ever heard it myself. I don’t think we ever got as far as playing Italian opposition in the Anglo-Italian Cup, did we?

Great news. Still can't work out why it was not respectful to play a game on Saturday but it's perfectly fine on Tuesday, but there we go.

Because Liverpool are not at home and won’t be at risk of non-aligned thinking/chanting/booing.

Celtic will also be safely away in Poland where nobody will care about tributes for the Queen and away from the eyes of the public. I doubt Liverpool had as much to do with it as they think, they can still boo and chant  all they want but Celtic were the biggest risk to outraging the royals given that when it was announced she died in the pub Celtic fans were filmed cheering.

Pretty sure the Poles will typically have had big respect for the Queen - they might do a tribute. The Poles in this country certainly do - many will be the children of war veterans mind so only to be expected.

Hopefully the minutes silence will be observed. There are plenty of people who couldn’t give two hoots about the late Queen, I hope these people appreciate the time to air those views is not during the minutes silence. Any disrespect towards the minutes silence is also a show of disrespect to each and every fan who wishes to or chooses to abide by it.

Is that like hanging out with a bloke convicted of grooming young women? unbecoming and befitting of a member of the royal household? Allegedly of course…

I think it would be highly disrespectful to not observe the minute's silence but as for singing the "national anthem".... I'm not going to go back on what I feel about the monarchy so will give it a miss thanks
