He pronounces the letter ‘R’ as a kind of soft ‘W’; a fairly common speech impediment called rhotacism. Jonathan Ross and Simon Jordan two relatively famous examples of people with the same impairment.

Anecdotally, seems more common in people with a southern accent for some reason.

Fascinating stuff! What an impressive guy he is, and what an amazing rise through the levels for his team. Presumably they are still part time, but after watching that I really hope they can consolidate and become established in the National League. I love the fact that he's willing to sack himself as manager if he thinks it's necessary.
