I’m sure every Town supporter feels the same, terrible news for the lad.

Really sad for him. Presume it’s an ACL rupture, which will be 6-9 months and an op with no guarantees, and I’ve had that myself and it’s horrible. Sure all Town fans will wish Ben all the best with his recovery and rehabilitation. Great player for us. He’ll be in some serious pain tonight and worried about his career. All the best Foxy, and hope you come back stronger.

Only just seen about Fox on Twitter. Poor lad.

It was always a risk. Hope he comes through. Sounds nasty.

Quick recovery to both the lads.
Once a mariner always a mariner

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

He's not had much luck with injuries. Think he only ended up in non league with us due to previous injuries.

Hope he recovers and gets back to his old self in time as he's a very good player and will always be remembered for his part in getting out of the hell hole.

Speedy recovery Ben.

I don’t think it’s possible to remember any of last year’s play-off squad with anything other than joy and admiration. Sheer heroics, and both Fox and Sousa played big roles.

Gutted for them both; wish them all the best in their recoveries.

I don’t know what deal we offered Fox but it just shows the risks when offering contracts for all parties. I’m not suggesting Fox followed the money but after this injury, I hope he has.

Agree with everyone else that everyone in that promotion squad would be welcome round my house to pet my poodle.

Both Fox and Sousa played a huge part in the playoffs.
