Burnley say it's a season-long loan, bit of a mix-up there

That's five loanees now, with a maximum of five allowed in the matchday squad. Obviously one is crocked right now, probably leaves space for one more.

Welcome to GTFC Lewis, we're on the up these days.

Is this the first signing/contract renewal announcement this summer that wasn't announced at 6PM between 3 and 10 days after the deal was actually concluded?

Apparently he's got a bit of star quality. Maybe wouldn't be going out on loan if he hadn't had a few injury setbacks.

I know it's not Renaldo but give the lad a chance to get through the door.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

To be fair for every Harry Kane there are probably 100 Wes Fletchers.

Jordan Cropper was with Burnley too. If you look at who we've had from them, Glennon has been good for us, I thought Josh Benson was a tidy footballer and Cropper isn't the worst right back we've had even if I don't personally hold him in the same regard as Glennon.

If this lad comes in with similar pedigree then I think he'll offer us something and do well. Very excited to see him play, just trying to dampen expectation as it would be hugely unfair to pin inflated ambitions on a 19 year old.

Burnley supporters really rate him and like you say Glennon, Cropper and Benson have all looked decent.

Burnley fan who closely follows our U21s here.

I clipped all of Lewis' touches (good, bad and everything inbetween) from the (poor quality) stream Reading provided on YouTube of our recent U21 game against them. It should give you an idea of what to expect from him.

1st Half

2nd half is in the twitter thread.

Lewis Richardson is more highly thought within the club than Glennon and Benson were when we loaned them to you. Hopefully he will be even more successful than they were.

Only question marks around him are how he'll adjust to the physicality of senior football and his injury record IMO. Can occasionally be a little greedy too.

Hey!  Being part-Welsh I take offence to that.  The Faroe Islands produce some fantastic players considering their population and location, you leave them alone....
