I may have missed it, but does anyone know where he is with this?

Has he seen the surgeon, has he had the operation.

Or is he waiting for appointments?

I know even private patients are having to wait, but it’s no good to us if he’s injured the whole time we have him on loan.

Last week Hurst said he was with Luton strengthening his shoulder before his operation and recovery will be 3 months post-op. Be lucky to see him before January I think.

Thanks for that James.

I guess we’re in Luton’s hands on this, but would obviously like him available sooner rather than later.

Isn’t it bizarre how you get red crossed for asking a question.

Op was last Friday I thought PH said. If it’s 3 months I don’t see why we wouldnt have him back for the Christmas games. He can do loads of cardio alongside the shoulder rehab. He had a full pre-season. Clearly he need a bit of time to get match fit and sharp as well but his overall cardio fitness shouldn’t be much impacted

Back for Harrogate on Boxing Day…

He was having this operation either way. The deal we’ve struck with Luton is brilliant all round and you’d imagine they’ve got significantly better physio facilities etc for his rehab.

3 months recovery post op surely means he’ll be back 4-5 weeks before Christmas. We’ll get 60% of the season out of him, which is not to be sniffed at.

I've wasted my life in black and white, a pathetic act for a worthless cause

I guess that depends whether “recovery” includes getting match-fit. If so yes end of Nov.

That assumes he's had his op, I'm sure Hurst said last week that he was strengthening his shoulder before his operation at Luton.

His cardio won’t be but the strength you lose during the recovery from these types of ops is incredible
