From what we read about him when he signed, I think Wearne has been signed for just this instance, a more natural replacement for McAtee when he’s injured/suspended. So I’d agree with your team except play Wearne instead of JMD and play Kiernan out wide. Counterintuitively, given McAtee is unavailable, I think that’s actually a better balanced and more natural side than last week as you have a natural striker and No10 in their positions. Plus, Battersby will be on the bench instead of Maher, who isn’t fit and we need a keeper.

Looking at that, with my team, there really isn’t very much from the bench is there?

If McAtee is injured, I wouldn't be surprised to see a change in formation due to lack of attacking options. Something like:

PH never said McAtee wouldn’t play.  He said he might not be available.  I fully expect him to start.

I expect 5-3-2 to try to counter Northampton’s physical presence and attacking threat.
