We will definitely have one as a Youth Trust member has designed it, or at least designed the concept.

We probably haven't launched it yet due to the supply chain problems that most clubs are experiencing.

As for Orient, they have red socks. We could of course wear black or white socks but I suppose the club want to use any excuse to wear the away kit for commercial reasons. We're guaranteed to wear the home kit 23 times a season, so the club want to make use of any opportunity to promote the other ones. Traditionalists might be offended by it, but hey-ho.

on the question of kits did anyone else hear Debbie say that we have sold 500 of the 2nd strip, as well as selling out the first choice number? Phenomenal numbers!

That's a commercial decision isn't it?

I also believe there has been a rule change for this season that the home team don't have to play in their home kit, or parts thereof. They are allowed to mix and match home and away kits.

Perhaps the need for a third kit has been negated somewhat, although I imagine teams will still have one.

That rule is only to protect colour blind fans.

Can anyone remember when we had to wear our away shirt at BP for a league match?

And can anyone remember when our opponents were forced to change to their away kit because our away kit clashed with their home strip?

Both were this century.

I'm aware of the issues faced by colour blind people as Kieran Maguire is colour blind so often references it on Twitter and in his podcast. I think there should be kit clash rules around the main colours they struggle with at least to make the experience more enjoyable.

Don’t remember either of those but I remember Sunderland having to wear our pink away shirt at BP in the 90s because their red and white stripes clashed.

Yes I think it was Barnet at home when Stuart Watkiss took caretaker charge.

Also was an instance where we had to wear a Lincoln away strip at their place. 0:0 during AB1 I think.

Red and Green is the most common "blindness". Not sure that is pertinent in League 2 as who has green?
The ref should be tested as GK's have green shirts, but then we all know Refs are blind anyway.

Yes, I was aware of that, but the point is that there has been a rule change on what kit can be worn and where, which was relevant to the discussion.

The reason for the change is irrelevant to my point.

Pretty sure Sunderland had to wear our away kit in the early 90s at BP, it was the salmon coloured kit.
