Hurst says we have a couple of new injuries to the ones we're already aware of.  The squad of 18 on Saturday will be all the fit players we have.

The ones that were injured before were Taylor, Khan, Maher and Amos (+ Scannell).  Wearne is coming back from an injury sustained last season and might not be match fit.  All of the above (apart from Scannell) were pictured training in Tenerife so hopefully won't be too far away.

I’m drawing a line under the Smith shouts now unless new information is provided. Posters will, however, be deducted points for including him in lineups if he subsequently doesn’t sign prior to that match. Sorry, I don’t make the rules!

Same as last season wasn't it?  Taylor got injured in the pre-season opener against Clee Town.  Ruled out of the opener, Hurst telling everyone he wasn't anywhere near fit....

First name on the team sheet for the first game.

"McAtee?  nah, I wouldn't bother trying to poach him mate, his shoulder is only attached by plasters at the minute, he'll be useless until at least Jan" - PH a few weeks ago.  I'll take the new injuries with a pinch of salt until the team is officially announced

In Hursts latest interview he says there are a couple more injuries. So who knows.

But putting Smith in is no brainier. Great to see him back. Who knows, maybe we might end up signing him permanently eventually?

Tough call on Amos but Glennon has been here before and we know what he can do.

Overall I don’t think Holohan was much better than average last season (nothing wrong with that) but for me he deserves to start the season and have Morris try and battle his way in. I see Green as the starter since Morris said he sees himself more as an ‘8’ but can play other roles.

He said there was a couple of injuries on top of the ones already known about.

Sounds like we will be without some of those expected to be starters.

Think Kiernan might start on the bench as JMD and Clifton have had full pre seasons whilst Brendan only signed recently. Think we may start with Holahan over Morris in an attempt to set up solid being away from home

Kiernan has probably had more pre season training than a good few of our players. All the other teams have had more pre season than us.
