I know that many on here want the Scunts to fold, but I am not as vindictive as that. I am happy to see them treading water in the NL for years as we storm up the leagues.

I'm with you Ron. I think of the Bury, Macclesfield fans and others over the years whose club went bust.


You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time

Surprised they've sold that many tbh.

I don't keep track of them and dont get the local paper but I think their gets dipped under 2000 a few times last season. 1500 doesn't sound that bad.

I’d happily watch them go bust. I honestly think they’ve been punching above their weight for 70+ years, and NL is possibly even too high for them.

They don’t have the fans. Even with a new owner, the stars would have to align for them to go back up, and I hope it never happens.

I seem to remember Kevin Keegan, Ray Clemence and GY managers Ron Ashman & George Kerr came from there. As much as we dislike them where would we be without the likes of George Kerr.

I would not like to see them go bust either Down oh yes but bust no way,, where would the game be without rivals and the banter . Lets not stoop so low as some of them went when we went down .
