I’d imagine the question being asked at Wrexham is more about ‘how the intercourse do we get out’ rather than the sustainability, we all mocked and yes, they’ve spunked a lot of cash but Reynolds has not only an elevated status, he’s got a track record of owning successful businesses so whilst I wouldn’t want it for my club, it’s not the worst thing, it’s not a Notts County if a while back etc.

For Wrexham they’ve literally tried every way of getting out and still can’t do it…

Stockport will be fine and whilst it’s probably not the way we’d do it, I think they’ve probably got a similar plan or vision for where they wanna be.

Crawley is an experiment and after the name of the club being dragged through the mud with that racist girl private as manager, it’s probably a breath of fresh air to hear them talked about in different ways. I don’t think it’s an experiment with any legs but it was only s matter of time before crypto balderdash and NFTs became part of football.

Thanks for the replies all, I’ve certainly learned a thing or two.
While their owner is extremely wealthy, that doesn’t mean he may not pull funding (I’m sure he probably wouldn’t) and request all the money he’s put in, back.
In regards to Wrexham, as another poster said, I wouldn’t be too worried as a Wrexham fan, due to the high profile of their owners, they won’t leave them out to dry without proper owners being put in place, and certainly wouldn’t ask for all of the money they put in back if someone wasn’t willing to pay it.
I completely agree RE Crawley though, their owners being wealthy through crypto is an accident waiting to happen. They won’t be in the premier league, and once they realise how hard it is getting a club to the premier league, they will get bored.

From what's been posted I get the impression the owners of Crawley are after the big money in the Premier League and like crypto, are chasing a dream. I feel sorry for their fans as I can see it going belly up in the future.

Although some have posted positive comments about the Wrexham owners I feel that if they haven't moved up the leagues in 2/3 years then they will cut their losses and sell.

I suppose the issue with Wrexham is how long RR will stick with it before getting bored. But if  he does go I doubt he would leave them in the ditch mired with debt. It's not like its a significant amount of money to him and he wouldn't want the bad PR.

If they do up this season they are a big enough club to support EFL football anyway. So no reason it should end up in a Bury or Macclesfield situation.

If the money has been  converted to shares then he can't request it back, its not money owed to him. He can ask for anybody buying the club to match his valuation  of those shares but they have no obligation  to meet it and the club doesn't owe him anything for them, anymore than gtfc owe me anything for the 50 quid of shares I have. He could,as major shareholder, pay himself a dividend from the club if it made money though I suppose.

Also as a shareholder, could town pay a share dividend if they wanted, just asking because my gas bill requires paying.

I honestly think the Wrexham issue is pretty low risk. RR has an extremely elevated public profile, and unlike a lot of his peers it's a carefully built brand, seems a genuinely nice guy and he's obscenely rich to boot. I can't see him risking tarnishing that brand for the sake of a few million, leaving a small community high and dry.

Out of all the 'projects' you see they've got really lucky  with their owners I feel.

Not as lucky as us.

Dead right.

After years of nightmares, I sometime feel as if I went to sleep in late May and am still dreaming. Notts County, Wrexham, Solihull, record season ticket sales, record shirt sales, amazing new signings......

Can't be real all this can it?

Need to make a profit before the board can help with your gas and electric.
