I can see they've tried to group teams geographically within the northern section but it doesn't make 100% sense. Switch us for Burton and into group F with Bradford and the Wendys and it makes a bit more sense as they'd be grouped with Derby and Mansfield. I'm unlikely to go to any of the games but certainly not the B team one.

Which smacks of the delusion the EFL have over this trophy.  They actually believe that people will be more interested to see which Academy side their team are grouped with...

Can’t imagine I’d be going to watch any games in papa johns as u21 team will be at blundell park and no wish to go to Mansfield if away. Derby away might be interesting but probably won’t go

No deal yet, but plenty of interested parties, including Mike Ashley. Now that the previous bidder has pulled out the administrators can talk to other bidders. I am guessing a deal will be done in the coming fortnight.

We might not even play Derby as they have no manager ( Rooney resigns ), not enough players for a team and no owner. If you add that they no longer own the ground and the administrators have to borrow money to pay the Junes wage bill, then they are in deep excrement.

Mike Ashley might be waiting in the wings but will he be willing to pump millions into this venture.

I would imagine he will be waiting to swoop in once the price has hit rock bottom.
