Reads as speculation. Don’t think there’s much more to it than that.

Batch, K.Moore, Waters, Wiggington, Crombie, Brolly, Ford, Drinkell, Mitchell, Cumming, Kilmore. D.Moore, Stone, Liddell. ....1979/80..... now that WAS a team.

I don’t know if he’s got over the injuries he’s suffered from recently but the thought of a fully fit Jon Nolan next to Fox in midfield with McAtee in front is rather naughty.

Wow did he? He was my star man, flawless performance, key moments with the tactical headbutt and the assist.

Well I can confirm that 2 weeks ago his (Ipswich Town)  house in Suffolk was cleared of his stuff by our neighbour !…. He lives 50 yards from my parents house. Ironically it was directly opposite Paul Hursts (ITFC) house, so he must have been keeping a close eye on him when he signed him 😛

Ipswich fans don’t rate him as very injury prone, but I think he would definitely be worth a go, if he is interested.

Nothing to lose in my opinion.

I know we get bombarded by ex player suggestions every year, but Hurst has signed Nolan three times now. Town, Shrewsbury and Ipswich. Obviously rates him so I’d be surprised if looking at signing him didn’t at least cross Hursts mind..

All Town aren’t we

I thought Nolan was excellent for us but it was six years ago. Six years is an age ago in lower league football.

And when you fall back into the mud it hurts a lot.
No! None of it was true, none of those things we thought we could see existed at all.
All that was really there was still more misery

No thanks

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.
