How many of us would have said goodbye to Hurst during his purple patch midway through the season? Regrettably I would have. It’s clear to see Scannell has a lot of respect from his teammates and this news should only enforce the feel good factor and positive culture further. Can’t help but think This Club is going places and the only way is UP!

Really buys into what Debbie Cook said about wanting players to be valued as people and not commodities. Regardless of whether he plays again or how well he plays if he does, we’ve sent out a real statement that we’re not ran by the same old charlatans who’d haggle you out of a £50 goal bonus.
