Brilliant from the club, shows what kind of organisation we are now and will send a message to other players.

To echo what you said, i'd love to see him in a Town shirt again

Brilliant news.

Easily good enough for League 2 if he can come back.

It must be reassuring for staff at this club knowing that if you put in the effort and want to stay then the club will stay by you through thick and thin. How many of us would have said goodbye to Hurst during his purple patch midway through the season? Regrettably I would have. It’s clear to see Scannell has a lot of respect from his teammates and this news should only enforce the feel good factor and positive culture further.

Can’t help but think This Club is going places and the only way is UP!

Great that we are doing it and without being cynical it is a great way to demonstrate what a good employer we are to potential new signings.

I think this is the right thing to do and shows that we care about our players. Equally, a fully fit Scannell is more than good enough for L2.

I notice Joe Bunney, on more than one occasion, has referenced how well we looked after him when he got injured last season.

As I said on another thread, the professionalism starts at the top and feeds down.

Absolutely chuffed for Scanz if this is true. I know how hard he worked to get back in the squad and he’s more than capable of shining in League 2.

How could we discard a player in a pot? That just wouldn't be right and word would spread if that was the way we behaved.

If we can get him back playing he'll add value for sure.

Pleased that we are looking after him. And it’s not just charity. If he is fit for next seasons run in it will be like a high quality signing. He is a class player.

Great news. Really buys into what Debbie Cook said about wanting players to be valued as people and not commodities.

Regardless of whether he plays again or how well he plays if he does, we’ve sent out a real statement that we’re not ran by the same old charlatans who’d haggle you out of a £50 goal bonus.

This is the best news I've had all day, absolutely love him, he's a class act and a decent guy. Would love it to see him in our glorious shirt again.
