Learn from your sh1t show organising of this finale.

Wrong venue

Wrong prices.

Wrong seating arrangements.

Stupid singer.

Blasting awful music over the natural celebrations of the supporters at the end.

You just don't get it, learn from these mistakes so others in the future have a better experience of THEIR day out.

Hope we never cross paths again.

Haven’t posted for years but feel I must add:
I won’t miss the self important incompetents that run the National league, just to get that out of the way

But I will miss the genuine clubs and their supporters who live down there. I have been inundated with congratulatory messages from Notts and Wrexham diehard fans, amongst others, as well as Solihull supporters after the game - even those on loan from Villa - who have shown class and magnanimity which, unfortunately, will be sadly lacking next season (it’s the only downside I can think of)
Anyone, for instance, from Dover (or whoever), makes their way to Cleethorpes to see their team play are true football supporters. They may be few in number but they’re deserving of our respect and friendship.
I don’t want our club to ever be in the National league again, but there are some proper decent people down there. Them over plastic premier league fans any day!

I don't hate the clubs, teams, fans in the National league, some genuinely decent clubs and fans and they'll be missed. But I do hate the people that run it. Well done to everyone that booed them! I hope it sounded loud on TV and c***ts heard it on the pitch.

I agree with the organisation of running the conforence is a shambles. However I really enjoy the conference league being a big club in there. Like others have said there's some great little clubs and fans who go see teams like Wealdstone when there's so many big clubs on there doorsteps are proper fans.

We took our one chance and got ourselves out of there! The league is a shambles! The standard of refs, the incompetence at board level and the massive overspending of a handful of clubs just to get one of only two promotion spots. The league need to make the league enjoyable for those fans that go week in week out watching tier 5 and 6 football but they don't seem to care

The last 7 days or so show what a tin pot organisation the National League is. They appear to be divorced from the reality of what it means to be a football fan. If it wasn't for the fact that it would open up an opportunity for a PL 2nd tier and the money grabbers would jump on that I'd suggest that the EFL took the NL over and make it league 3, nobody could run it as badly as it is currently being run.

This time I don't think we'll be back.

No more FA trophy, No more pointless England C and all the other amateur garbage we have to put up with.

Enjoy Scunny, I think they'll be down there for the best part of a decade at least!

There is a statement on the BBC sport website from the NL General Manager saying that they will learn from this year but then in the next breathe saying that they are unlikely to introduce a wage cap next season. Some good learning that as it gives a few clubs license to spend significant amounts to get promoted.

Think the booing may have been a shock to them even with their progressive forward thinking business management principles !!

As a dedicated GTFC fan( i will explain), i can shed a bit of light on The National league. I now reside in Gainsborough(clue is in my avatar name lol), so i have to confess that i also go and watch my other GTFC i.e. Gainsborough Trinity Football Club. My justification for this, is that the "other" GTFC are my non league club & Town are my Football League club. Well that was fine until Fenty gate, the two got a bit too close for comfort!!. Anyway...my point is...and you will all find this difficult to believe, the league below The National League i.e. The Northern Premier, is an EVEN bigger fiasco than The National league! Gainsborough have been in both, so i have experience of how incompetence can be taken to a whole new level of incompetence, a sort of " Super League of excrement ". Point made just to make you realise how lucky you have been !! UTM & UTB (Gainsborough known locally as The Blues).

The EFL salary cap went to court and got kicked into touch so I'm surprised the National League one for next season has been talked about all season. It just shows how out of touch they are.

I hope it sounded great on TV when the National League executives got the boos they quite rightly deserved.

The word League is fine, especially if you add a 2 at the end of it.

While we were part of the Vanarama National league we looked upon it as the unofficial 4th Division but now we are out it it it’s just non league.

Dead Eye Dobbin stood motionless waiting, waiting, waiting for the ball to arrive. Back came the right foot, Down came the right foot, Bang ! Headlines around the world as the ball flew into the very top right hand corner of the goal.( Jim Dobbin scoring in the 89th minute for Town against Newcastle United away 24/10/1992 )

What a resounding success the 2022 National League Play-off final was. Thanks to the excellent choice of stadium by the National League management board, the best-attended game since 2015 saw Grimsby Town and Solihull fans support the local London economy to the tune of over £500k spend in local bars and restaurants on top of the £2 million revenue from tickets and travel sales to support the GLA's hard pressed budgets and our struggling travel industry.

And as for the notion that it should be 3 up and 3 down between the NL and EFL...

When we escaped last time I wrote and had a letter published in the non league paper saying similar, the staff , the fans, the volunteers the true love of the game on a shoe string....the league has changed massively since we first appeared in it but alot of that still remains true.
The National League as an organisation itself though.....

Yes, and about that 3 up 3 down. As a member of the EFL, I would absolutely be against such a proposal.
