I'm just about tech savvy enough to pull up an email on my phone but I've had dramas before with accessing it due to signal or battery life. Got locked in a car park in San Diego from it and was on about 2% battery life at Scarborough Open Air for Olly Murs last year (family gig, not for me personally!!  ) as I was out all day, Chinese charger in the car wouldn't work, bit too close for my liking.

I'm one of life's panickers in these situations so I always arm myself with paper copies so I know I'm covered. Also wouldn't help if you had it stolen or lost along the way.

You're right, but when you left the EU, WiFi on the telephone network did not work for me the last time I was over, I had to go to McDonalds to get a network. In addition, my phone charger does not work in your socket. Works in some hotels that have USB sockets. Sure, it's a bit of a problem.

Surely it's not difficult for those involved in selling the tickets to understand that not everyone has a smart phone and/or the capability to work it in the manner required.

Personally, no issue at all.  Although the nerd in me likes a physical ticket to add to the shoebox of ticket stubs I've had for the last 30 odd years.  My Dad, on the other hand, is incredibly un-tech savvy and even a barcoded ticket is pretty hard work for him.  The idea of him having to load up a QR code on his phone to use to gain entry will baffle him.  

Can't understand why tickets are to be issued on Friday, not to mention a Friday that's a Bank Holiday and reduces the ability for people to print them off/get someone to print them off.  The QR codes are automatically generated when you purchase tickets and should really be distributed at the point of purchase.

Hey guys, you can get your tickets earlier, you just need to tick the premium ticket delivery option, there is an admin surcharge of £1.00 per ticket purchased though..

They literally email your ticket as a pdf…the only thing you need to find is email…even my technophobic grandad of 90 can open that…

Printing off a QR code or expecting people to is just pointless…the whole point if that is to cut down on printing etc…

It’s been done by ticketmaster, surely they can just deploy their share facility. I bought 4 tickets for knebworth and then just pinged each ticket to each person, much like boarding passes etc.

Much better than expecting people to print it out…

My mate has bought our group 10 tickets and hasn't had to he tickets emailed to him yet

Having read this thread am I right in thinking they won't get emailed out til Friday.

Doesn't give much time if a problem to sort it.

On ticket master, all you need is the email of your mates and then you can transfer the ticket across to them, it's really simple.

I've received both my emails and I booked my tickets at 4pm Monday.
It says you can do either and explains you need Adobe reader on your phone... If you got to the stadium and found you can't open the ticket they do also add a link to download Adobe reader.

Probably a stupid question but what difference does it make if you show the scanner your QR code from your ticket from a screenshot in your phones gallery, or from Adobe reader?

Print off the pdf,save the pdf to device and use directly from device or exchange for a paper ticket.

Shouldn't make any difference.
However I would advise saving the pdf to your device and have a suitable pdf reader installed prior to travel.
Avoids relying on an internet connection.

The specific instructions haven’t helped. I know someone who has visited the stadium multiple times and has only ever used his phone.

In this day and age there’s not really a need to print anything off if you don’t want.

Apologies ,I haven't seen the specific instructions.
I occasionally print a pdf ticket but mainly just keep it on my phone.
Hopefully its clear that all options are available for entry.
