Most of the stations at the northern end of the Central line are in residential/suburban areas and have street parking that will be free on Sunday or have big car parks that will be effectively empty except for Grimsby supporters.

Watch out for the Ultra Low Emissions Zone - you have to pay to go into it. You can pay online after you leave but you'll be fined if you don't and the fine is hefty.

Considering there will likely be around a maximum of 25,000 fans in total from both teams, you could possibly add a nought to that of people going into London for the parade and what follows, so I would expect the car parks and surrounding areas to be quite busy.

Not ideal if you want easy M11 access.
Epping,Redbridge or South Woodford are preferable.

Loughton looks like it is only just about 5 minutes away from the M11.

Jct 5 has no exit from the north.
You can only only access the M11 southbound from the A1168 too.

I’m weighing up driving to Cambridge and getting the direct train to Stratford from there. Can anyone confirm that this a sensible/viable option?

I would rather drive all the way but my sister is insisting we split the drive both ways rather than a way each like any normal person would which means I wouldn’t be able to have a drink. Cambridge being slightly closer and doable in one leg.

My daughter is at university in Cambridge and she’s travelled in and of London to visit friends from Cambridge by train with few issues. One thing to consider is that the local council pretty much has the whole city stitched up when it comes to street parking with meters or resident only parking pretty much everywhere. I haven’t travelled into Cambridge by train, so I’m not sure how big the car park is. The station itself is a bit of a hike from the city centre.

In my experience any National rail travel on  a Sunday is a risk through in bank holiday and the jubilee and I would drive or walk
