I don't think I've watched a full Champions League game this season until tonight. Cracking entertainment prior to the inevitable cagey and dull final.

Real didn't really look like they could score, until they did. Citeh haven't been bad by any means but will be rueing those missed chances.

I didn't think it was a Madrid penalty, thought the City player just got to the ball.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Nah, I thought it was a penalty. Good movement from Benzema to go with his good cut-back for their first goal.

Citeh look notably poorer with Zinchenko on. The French lad who came on for Real midfield has been a difference, driving them forward and adding some pace. Citeh look a bit slow around the pitch in comparison to them.

One of the weakest refs I have ever seen at that kind of level, didnt even play the full 3 mins added time never mind the fact the ET 2nd half was at a stanstill for injuries/subs for over 7 minutes. Still *UEFA  couldn't let it be another all English final.
Makes some of the refs we had look seriously professional

Pretty crazy how many times this Real team have been outplayed in this tournament but have somehow managed to nick a win at the end.

Will Liverpool be able to put them away? If they play well, they should, but will they?

As for Citeh, having one striker in the squad is a bit of a gamble, to say the least, when things aren't going well. Not really set up to chase games against the very best teams who are good enough and organised enough to keep them at bay.

Substitutions made the difference. City were in control of the game but Madrid just seem to know how to conjure goals from nowhere when it matters. Absolutely astonishing how they keep doing it.

City fell apart once Real scored. They played the blueprint of beating city perfectly, press, hit them direct and keep going and you will break them down.

Players at clubs like city shouldn’t be giving away fouls in the box like that in games like this.

Pep is heralded a genius but in truth he’s just a good manager. He won the European cup once with a side your nan could’ve managed and won stuff…again he’s come unstuck in Europe and arguably, he’s been out thought.

Great game and that penalty was mega…Carlo…greatest manager of all time….

City needed Kane rather than Grealish last summer. A number 9 gets City over the line in multiple competitions. Whilst a good player, City have plenty of other midfielders.
