For the amazing fans that travelled and had to put up with 80mins of rubbish I salute you and i hope the llast 10mins of the game alongisde other teams results made it slightly more enjoyable.
Yes we should be beating Barnet comfortably today but please let's look at the league table :

We're 4 clear of 8th who now have a very difficult away tie to play.
We're level on points with 5th (home tie)
We've leapfrogged Chesterfield who now have a tricky away tie vs Torquay coming up.

Come on town. We can finish 5th, but our whole game performance must improve. UTM

Said after we dismantled chesterfield we’d finish in the play offs and they’d drop out…

I would snatch your hand off for three 1-0 wins. There are always some bizarre results towards the end of the season. Confident 9 points would see us 5th.

Boreham winning at Stockport.

For context today, Barnet have the worst goal-difference in our division.  (3 teams already relegated).

Worrying about goal difference will be futile. Just 3 1-0s will be more than enough…

Today shows that Notts County, Chesterfield and ourselves are currently struggling away from home.  As our 2 closest rivals for a home playoff place, this is the same difference as all 3 teams winning games comfortably.

...........

Even the Shop managed to score for York today.  The report said that he could not miss - and on this occasion he didn’t.

Boreham now 2-0 at Stockport.  We don’t want them getting any confidence before playing us.

After a fantastic run Stockport might bottle automatic promotion.  It all went downhill for them after that red card against us.  Wrexham closing quickly and GD about the same.

Finished 1-2. Squeaky bum time for County now. We want them to go up automatically don't we?

Don’t really care, if they bottle it then it’s their fault. They were alright for 45 minutes against us. First game we should’ve won but for a dodgy refereeing decision.

If they don’t go up you’d fancy yourselves against them because there’s a likelihood they’d be disheartened and disappointed….

I think I'd like them to go up over Wrexham because they deserve it much more over the season, and some of the stuff Wrexham have come out with seemed pretty full of themselves

But, tactically, think I'd rather play stockport in the play offs so sod fairness and sentimentality, hope stockport do bottle it.

Saw enough in those 45 minutes at home to say I would rather they go straight up. Notts. County at home, Wrexham away then Solihull in the final. 25,000 Mariners and 376 Solihull fans witness a 2-1 Town win!!!

Are we??
18 points from a possible 30 and only 2 defeats in those 10 not so shabby imo.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I’m in this place. Stockport are the standout team - I don’t want to play them again.

Agree, Stockport struggled last couple weeks but best team in league by far. Hopefully they’ll turn Chesterfield over on Monday, then share points with Wrexham next weekend and they should then get points to take title.

I’m still convinced Wrexham will fail in play offs, and credit to Solihull for being on a cracking run. It’s all very well knocking their support - to can turn that around and acknowledge how well they’ve done and look a good side. I think they are the team to beat in the play offs.

As much as we potentially may not like them whoever finishes top deserves to win the league and get promotion.

Play offs are a lottery especially with this format and any team that gets in them should back themselves.

I think history suggests that teams who choke it from such commanding leads rarely recover to win the play offs.
If Stockport don't get automatic promotion I'd have in the play off semi

In this league anything goes i'm just thinking what could have been without our midseason slump , i still take stockport to win the league even though there trying hard to give it wrexham  , going to be difficult for town if we have to play two away games to reach the final but not impossible with our support utm

The priority for us is to ensure we get into the play offs. 6 points from the last three games will guarantee that. But should Dagenham win on Monday, they will be only one point behind us (albeit having played a game more) and so the pressure will be on. They are home to Torquay on Monday and you would expect them to win that, while Chesterfield are home to Stockport who need to get back to winning ways to keep Wrexham at bay, especially given that they have to play them next weekend.. The table might look very interesting indeed on Monday night.

Our game in hand is home to Boreham Wood who beat Stockport away yesterday and so are no mugs. Suddenly that game is not as straight forward as it looked a coupe, of weeks ago. We will have to play far better than we did yesterday to win that.
